[My friend Sylvie testing out the posh Mercedes roadster.]
04/08/14 It was a fun evening of cocktails & hors d’oeuvres at the launch party for Royal Sprinter on Wednesday night at the Park Hyatt in the West End.
“Entrepreneur Andy Seligman is the owner of Royal Sprinter, a luxury road transport between DC and New York City, launching next month. The new service offers a boutique travel experience unlike anything else on the market.
Each custom-designed Mercedes Sprinter features eight reclining leather seats with footrest extensions, placed at an angle so no passenger has anyone directly in front of or behind them. Spacious storage areas, personal flat screens with DIRECTV, Wi-Fi and complimentary refreshments are just a few of the added amenities. The partnerships Andy has created with hotels in both cities give Royal Sprinter customers even more of an advantage. With pick-up and drop-off spots at notable hotels like the Park Hyatt Washington and Embassy Suites at the Chevy Chase Pavilion in DC and the Loews Regency Hotel in Manhattan, guests have convenient arrival and departure locations and hotel patrons have a value-added amenity for their stay. Tickets are $90 each way and service begins Friday, April 11. Plans for expansion to Tysons Corner and Philadelphia are currently in the works.”
