04/07/11 Songkran – the Thai New Year – has a special meaning for the owners of Asia Nine Bar & Lounge in the Penn Quarter, because both are Thai-born.  Co-Owner Nuthinepan Tantivejakul (Natalie) says one of the primary traditional elements of Thai New Year’s celebrations was visiting elders, family, friends and neighbors, to pay respect.

Asia Nine will offer guests a special Thai New Years’ menu from April 13-17 (an extension of the actual new year dates, April 13-15). They gave a media preview of the dishes Thursday night.
