10/28/09 Today I photographed an event for women at the (brand new) Embassy of the People’s Republic of China entitled “Tips on Western-Style Hospitality, Etiquette and Protocol with Coach Kathy Kemper.” Topics included: appropriate dress for different social scenarios; dos and don’ts for small talk at cocktail parties (avoid religion and politics but ask about business) and the importance of wearing flip flops right up until the last second before you have to put on the high heels.
