08/14/09 For the past 5 weeks, Joel Bergner has been painting the side of a building on U Street for the “Afro-Columbian Mural Project.” He was hired by the DC Public Arts Commission and the mural is meant to depict the the real life experience of Columbian immigrants. If you want to see the painting, it’s in an alley on the South side of U Street between 13th and 14th Streets. He says he expects he will finish it “in a couple weeks.”
